i am looking into getting a photoshop program, so i can do all those amazing effects, you have all seen around, so i wont have to keep bothering someone everytime i want something done..i was recomended by Wise photoshop CS2, but i think its not windows vista compatible, then theres the new CS3 upgrade, but you have to have CS2 already installed...so that's it..any recomendations would be awesome ![]() ![]() |

CS3 is a completely new program.. you do not need CS2 to get it... you should be more worried about affording it. LED Swaps and parts available! PM me for details, questions and/or quotes. There's Strong, and then there's RETARD Strong. Decelerate your life. The Few, the Proud... (they never really tell you what they're really "proud" of, eh?) You have the option of either buying CS3 full, which is a good bundle of money, or buying a CS3 upgrade if you already have CS2, which is only about $200. I'd suggest downloading the CS3 trial and seeing if you like it. If you really dig it and see yourself using it quite often, then be prepared to put out a good bit of money if you want to use it past 30 days or whatever. Hello guys I am new here and am looking for friends |

yeah i am aware of the price, not something too appealing since this program is intended to be used as a hobby of sorts, not looking to start a business..what about the CS2, is this program windows vista compatible..the description only states windows ![]() ![]() |

No Problem, it runs great on my vista as if it was on XP, so that shouldn't be a problem. ![]() ![]() Scion Wiki ~~ |

I wasn't sure if CS3 was an upgrade.. You should be able to do what you need to do even with an older version of photoshop which won't hurt the wallet as much most of my pictures were done with a cheap software bundled version of Adobe Photoshop Photo Deluxe Home Edition (aka Photoshop 4.0) |

I'd write an angry letter to HP and tell them how angry you are nothing will happen, but it'd make me feel better |

You can do anything you need to do with Photoshop Elements and it's only $99. I'm a photographer and I use Elements 3 (the current version is 5) more than I use my copy of CS3. Unless you're a professional Photoshopper, CS3 is like using a sledgehammer to open eggs. A simple little hammer will do the job just fine. ![]() the devious monkey photography TEAM ECHO CHICAGO |

I've been using V3 of PS Elements and it does everything I need it to do. I got V5 for a client and tried it out and it had enough changes that it would have messed up my work flow. And as the saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. So I'll stick with V3 until Adobe comes up with something that makes it worth it for me to upgrade. ![]() the devious monkey photography TEAM ECHO CHICAGO |

so are you saying that the 5.0 version isn't any good, all i want it for is to do some creative photo effects like those done on here by others. the only other item i saw that had the 3v version was the ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS 3.0 +PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 5.0 but that was $140.00 ![]() ![]() |

No no! I'm just saying that for me I'm happy with version 3 and that you don't always have to upgrade just because it's available. By all means get version 5. I actually bought that dual set because I wanted Premiere to do some video editing. I just gave the PSE5 to my client because I didn't want/need it. ![]() the devious monkey photography TEAM ECHO CHICAGO |
