I finially finished my custom fiber glass box and panel. I wanted to go with the steathly stock look and still keep easy access to the spare tire and storage compartments. I all worked out pretty well for a couple of days of work.

I made a mold of the right side truck and built it up with fiberglass, It fits nice ans snug.

For symmetry i made a quick matching panel that i will probally make a neon plexy emblem for and relay it off the truck light because it is covered.

Finished look, nice ands stealthy

Its not too hard just read up on basic fiberglassing, and experiment. To make things a bit easier i just took out the side panel rather than tapeing it off in the car. Then i just covered the whole panel with masking tape and tin foil, laid a quick layer of mat and resin and poped it out. Then i just layered it, glued in a 10in ring, wraped it with fleece and resined it. Then layed a few more layers of mat, sanded all the inperfections out, and carpeted it. it took me about three days working on it in between jobs at work. The seconed panel i did in about two hours from start to finish. i just thin strips of fiber board, made a template, fleeced and resined it.

So are you planning on cutting the side strips on the trunk carpet? I thought about doing this as well, and my only gripe was that the whole carpet has to lift out to get to the spare. Anywho, box looks awesome! Oh yeah 1 more question, why the hole in the opposing side?

Can't find it anymore but someone had a sweet set up, they build a custom box that fit under the cover for the wheel, that goes on the right side, and the sub goes on top of the spare tire, so it doesn't look like there is a system, it's sweet.

I made this whole set up without any modification to the car. Everything just drops right on top of the factory trunk panels and carpet. (which was my goal) I just pop the box and side panel out to get to the spare and stroage compartments. The hole on the left side is gonna be a plexy lit emblem that is gonna be the new trunk hatch light (because the factory one is covered by the panel) still working on that though. Everything pops out in seconds and leaves the truck factory.

Wow im impressed looks nice? Is it enough air space for the Sub? I know that the pioneer you have doesnt need much but how does it sound?

Its enough air space. There is a little more than a squar foot of air space in the box and the sub is the pioneer shallow air suspension version so it barely needs space.

Looks good man! I like that setup! If I hadn't have done what I was going to do, I was contemplating doing a setup like that or doing something similar to the Stealth box. I like!

i work for a JLA dealer and the stealth box goes by the spare tire compartment. I causes the rear seat not the fully recline, and the floor has to be raised a few inches. So i built this one because i didn't like those issues. I just finished the emblem for the left side, pix will be up soon.
