 thats awsome i've been wanting to get one of those kits. do you know what i would have todo to make them hid????

Just look up the bulb size to them. Maybe even email the people you buy it from. I'm sure you can find out. And they can be easily taken apart, there are people who have HID's in this kit.

The kit you can order from xtralights.com comes with everything. This install is about a 4/10 and take about 1.5hrs to 2hrs if you are experienced. It took me 5hrs without directions and making a stop to Autozone for fuses. All you need is a socket wrench kit, 2 car stands, wire cutter, circuit tester, electrical tape, zip-ties, and maybe some spare 7.5 fuses.

**SORRY**: I do not have the parts layout, because they are already installed, but you can figure out which wire goes where and how they connect from the pictures.

So first off you want to raise the car up then unscrew these corner panels underneath the bumper. These are the panels in front of the wheels. There should be about 5 screws and then it comes right off.


Next you want to pop out the older corner scoop pieces and insert the fog lights with the bracket on the inside of the bumper. The fog lights screw into the bracket holding it snugly in place.


Next, start to connect the wires so that you can feed them up to the battery. You do not need to remove any of the other pieces of the bumper just push the wires up in and then pull them up the front of the radiator.


You can mount the volt box and spark plug to a screw on the front of the radiator as shown.


You can now connect those bottom bumper panels and lower the car down. Now, on to the battery, pop this red cap off the positive end of the battery. Originally, the screw is facing the intake, but I reversed it so that it can be easily taken off again. The red wire has a screw hole so the screw can fit through it and mount it.


You do the same with the black wire except on the negative end of the battery.


Now, begin to feed the wires along the hood lining (top of bumper).


Use an old metal hanger to feed this wire through a small slot into the control box inside the car.


The wire will come through on the left side, when sitting in the car. You pull it past the door crack then tuck it behind the weather strip and push it into the wire box.


Go ahead and pop on the oem switch.


The light green wire is a wire that I used from the unused wire harness. You can circuit test any wire to find out which one is hot. Splice the hot wire and connect the red wire to it. Then solder or use electrical tape.

By the way this is the fuse that continuously blew on me. It's the large 7.5 one that is raised higher than the others. This is the fuse box inside the car. I had no problems with the engine fuse box.


Now, just clean up and you are done. It would be wise to use the zip-ties provided so that you can secure the wires to a comfortable and safe position. Feel free to test the lights as you go along to make sure things work.

After everything is done you need to reprogram the windows and sunroof. From, the driver's side hold the switch up for three seconds then test the windows for motion and auto feature. Then repeat from the passenger side door. Moonroof programemd itself for me so I don't know if you will need to, but it's the same way, 3 seconds.

**EDIT** I forgot to picture the ground wire. That wire is also red and there is a good ground screw inside the wire box where you connect the switch. It is inside and to the right, you can't miss it.

Just a thought, but is it possible to splice into the wiring used for the Scion tc fog light kit. The one the dealer offers,I would think that the wire harness would be there already. Not sure of this maybe someone has this information?

 help me please!!! hey i bought fog lights for my tc. all the wires are all connect, but for some reason my switch does not work at all. the lights stay on. i spiced the red wire with the orange that was hot from the unuse harness like in your pic. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

 ok I made mine hid 3k. I found out that the bulb that was used on my foglight kit was h1 I know there has to be an easier way to do it but don't know I just made mine work. I cut and cripped al the wires to the hid balast and the bulb seperatly to the corespoding wires it all functions just the same with the in dash switch. I don't think I went the easiest way arround it so won't bother to explain it u can contact me if u got any questions. I know I've seen the same kit ok eBay already hid but I'm not too sure if it has the dash foglight switch.

 If you want to wire these fogs to come on/off with parking lights and also turn them off via the switch, check out my thread for more info and pics:

3. find the 3 brown wires. You will have to cut back some of the tape. Brown wire with 3 silver spots of paint is for parking lights. You do not have to cut the wire, just T-tap it with the red wire from the switch.
