Ingalls "Stiffy" Engine Torque Damper
Applications:
SCION TC 2005-2006

Ingalls new "Stiffy" torque damper is a elastomer shock that mount via 7 gauge steel brackets between the engine and the chassis, reducing or eliminating power robbing movement improving off-the line acceleration for your vehicle. The "Stiffy" has hardened spherical rod ends, aerospace grade fasteners, 6061-T6 Aluminum body and an adjustment range of 6.75" to 7.2".

Greatly improved off-the line acceleration.
Reduced wheel hop.
Improved vehicle stability.
Reduced shock loads on driveline components.
Smoother shifting.
Reduced wear on exhaust system joints.
Less vibration transmission to the driver compared to polyurethane dampers.

Price: $167 shipped.

They prevent the engine from moving back and fourth under acceleration. tC's have horrible movement in the engine bay, i think ive heard up to 4 inches forward and backwards.

The Stiffy prevents that from happening. The issue with them is, it makes a HELL of alot of noise. Ive seen a fix to help with the noise by using a small rubber gasket and a washer, keeps it from jittering metal to metal at the firewall joint. I want to buy one, but believe me i will do the quick fix to stop the NOISE for the most part

BTW i can get the stiffy for $130 bucks so sorry i cant go with the $157 your pricing them at. Hope you can sell them and make your profit

ZPI makes another version but i dont like it. Its a steel bar that mounts underneath the engine and pretty much prevents any movement at all. You want a little bit of play, nowhere near how much the stock tC moves, but the ZPI is far too hard on the engine because it prevents even slight movement. PLus with ZPI you never know when your going to get your parts....

That's a great price for this and since he's a clubsciontc vendor, you can at least rest assured that he's a good business partner.

i once heard these should only be installed in engines that are supercharged or have a turbo kit, not like mine which i do not plan on adding any of those
