THE SHADOW

You'll need:

14 mm socket and wratchet (black bolts and gold bolts)
10 mm socket (rear flap bolts)
flat tip screw driver (lift flap on rear flap bolts)

The task only takes about 30-45 minutes tops so it's not bad.

Difficulty: 1-5.... 2

Overall weight loss: ~65-70 lbs (rough estimate)

-You will remove 8 (14mm) black bolts (4 per seat bracket)
-You will remove 3 (14mm) gold bolts (seat belt brackets)
-You will remove 2 (10mm) black bolts (lift flaps in rear)

Steps:

1...Look at your back seat and locate 2 areas (yellow arrows) and lift straight up on them. The seat pad will pop off and you just push the seat buckles through the slots and pull the bottom pad out.

Before:

After:

2...Locate bolts you will remove from the seat bracket (blue) and seat belt holders (yellow and red)...remove the yellow one first so you can take the whole belt bracket out.

Passenger side:

Driver side:

3...Pick a side to start with (driver/passenger) and fold the seat flat after removing the front bracket and belt bolts. Now locate the flip tabs and remove them. The back flap will lift out after that.

4...I didn't take a picture of the next part for some reason but it's easy. On the seat brackets in the back, you will see 2 black bolts (each side) just like those in the front. Remove them. The seats will pop right out after that.

5...Look at your seats and trunk crap.

6...Just to clean it up a bit, I replaced the back flap but am removing the rest tomorrow at the track. It just lifts right out so it's easy.

7...Smile dumb for the camera in the 95 degree heat and humidity

Enjoy.

*I noticed a slight increase in pull in both 4th and 5th where I used to notice it was slow to climb. It's not anything HUGE, but there is a slight increase.

i removed mine about 2 months ago. i ended up putting brackets into the rear panel so the board piece would stick up and i could hold things in my trunk without it all sliding onto the floor. ill post some pics later

So what if my girlfriend drives a Supra, I'm more sexier than she is! =)

I would recommend putting some weight in the back if you're going to track. Drag though will be fine. Did you notice how much higher the rear of your car sits now? haha
