just wondering how hard it is to install? has anyone done it themselves because im considering it even though i dont really have the money just a thought and wanted to know how difficult it would be? Theres no point taking it to the dealer also because my warranty is going to b void form the pulley and intake and exhaust and soon header.

as far as warranty check out this thread:

Magnuson Act + Advice

The thing about the TRD supercharger is that the ECU will need to be re-flashed.

how do you reflash and do you have an idea of how hard and what needs to be done mechanically or is it just bolt on and done?

just go to the dealership and ask them to reflash it for you

and just to let you know... it would prolly be good to get it all done at the dealership because the supercharger comes with a warranty seperate from the car warranty... well it would be good if you cared about warranty

if you have to ask, don't try it. you'll take three days, not figure it out and mess something up.

the instructions are like 36 pages long

along with the fact that your car won't run properly without that ECU reflash which can only be done with a specific Toyota tool

and depending on what year your car is.. it may or may not be even possible as not all dealerships got the equipment to reflash the '05-06 ECU.

hmm.. btw... if you plan on installing a header after the s/c..

i'm just going to laugh at you.

and if you don't know why i'm laughing, than you really, really shouldn't even bother thinking you can install the s/c
