 To all the site moderators, Not trying to be rude but the constant locking of topics because people were not forum savvy enough to search for it does not make it cause to lock the damn thing. There are titles on these things and i believe people should be able to read them if they want. ANd honestly have you guys actually tried using the search, A redundant and useless piece of code on any forum. All it does is strike an algorithm to search for that word in EVERY post. This makes the search quite redundant. Anyways, not trying to start anything just stating that this message board is for enjoyment and not for people who have so much time on their hands to actually cancel people-s posts. A message board is just that A MESSAGE for all to say and reply. Im off my soap box now and everyone keep TC ing it!Griffis

Actually, I myself haven-t tried it on this particular board. However, just because I figured you were full of crap, I looked at the search page. Here-s an idea for you (and why reposts annoy the hell out of people): why don-t you R E A D? You-ll note all kinds of coolio options for limiting your search results such as:1. the use of AND and OR. Now, I know logic isn-t for everyone, but I-m confident that you can grasp the concept of AND and OR. 2. Radio buttons for searching the title along with the message3. A drop down menu to select which subforum you want to search in. Want to find out about short shifters? How about -Internal Styling-?4. The kicker: a radio button to show the results as topics as opposed to posts.Jesus Christ it even allows wildcard searching for God-s sake. What more do you want? The only thing I can think of is being able to limit the search to just the title, but when you-ve been on a forum for any length of time, you-ll realize people are too stupid/cute/funny to label topics clearly and that doesn-t really help you out.

 The reason the search function does not work on other forums is because people do not search and flood said forum with hundreds of duplicate posts and topics making the number of results too massive to be useful.... and then there is user error.I use the search function quite frequently here and other forums and it works great if you know how to use it. For example, when I remove a repetitious post, I use the search to find the correct thread and inform the poster of the aforementioned user where they should be posting or where to find the information they were looking for. I know Sin does the same and has no problems with the feature either, so we must be doing something right.No offense taken.And not to be an ass, but this should be in the -Suggestions- forum.

We dont think its funny or cute :? Its the job descritpion in the -Forum FAQ- and when you registered it was in the paragraph aggreement that you read before joining assuming you read it. We do have jobs and have lives oustide the forum I dont know if this is your 1st club, but be happy you dont have to cycle through pages & pages of garbage and have a search feature that is useless elsewhere. We are just true -sin-eaters-

 Holy crap.This thread was a perfect example of why we have to do what we do. A simple topic becomes a school yard name calling festival. It wastes time, makes people angry, and ironically, makes one more incorrect thread that will pop up in a search.Just like life, these forums require rules and order or they will not function in a helpful or meaningful way. If you have a problem with this, there are a variety of other tC forums available to you.I don-t have to defend how I spend my time to anyone, whether it be an anonymous board member or my mother, but for the sake of argument, I have two real jobs, school, and a girlfriend outside of this site for those that (for some reason that I fail to comprehend) care.Also, I took the liberty of removing posts that I deem to be inappropriate. This is my job as a Mod. If anyone feels they can justify a complaint, feel free to go over my head.
