Lotta grocery stores will hire young people as baggers or cart pushers.

Good luck with the job search man.

starbucks only hires 18+ and so does blockbuster. Try grocery stores like they said... a lot of times smaller chain places will hire at 16, and so will restaurants. Movie theaters will, and you might even want to check out like Walgreens, etc.... that might be an okay job. That's really all I can think of though...

GOOD lord you're young! and i don't think starbucks would hire a 16 year old. even at toys 'r' us you must be 18 to work. a lot of retail places require you to be atleast 18 years of age or older because of the things you have to do (ie: crushing boxes, using different tools, bla bla) good luck finding something other than a grocery store or fast food! grocery stores would be your best bet, though. mas moneyyy!! good luck.

I'm tellin you man, no matter how much they say grocery store or mcdonalds, those places are just way to boring. go with jiffylube, you even get free oil changes. Plus half off of everything else!

I was 16 and doing websites for locals for $$$. It's harder these days to get away with that.

You can't really be picky about a job at 16. Fast food / grocery store / etc are your best bets. Since you don't really have an education yet, you won't be finding anything better, unfortunately

Hello guys I am new here and am looking for friends

Grocery stores suck, but unless you suck it's a pretty easy job to hold. I was a cashier for 9 months when I was 16, since you have to be 18+ to do any of the cool jobs that involve machines. Pay sucked, I think it was around 7 an hour to start, but the time and a half on Sunday was awesome.

That's why I NEVER recommended people to take their car there. Shops that don't require any experience and although oil changes ARE easy, they can be messed up horribly. Multiple horror stories of the 3 in the area I worked at while at Autozone....all involved impacted oil drain plugs and wedged oil filters that cross threaded the splines............No disrespect to Pope, but I'd never suggest anyone taking a vehicle to Jiffy lube if they see anyone there that seems less than 21 years of age. Even then it's a gamble. It's great for the workers but horrible for the clients.

If they made you work on a "test" vehicle for a few months before actually working on customer vehicles, then that would be ok. But no experience + power tools + car parts = disaster.

What exactly do you WANT to do? What do you LIKE to do?....I'd answer those 2 questions and then see what's out there with those answers.

Costco gives 10 bucks. They also give you a raise after 6 months. I've also heard that Menards pays good. My friend worked in hardware and got 13.50 but hes 18 so im not sure how much you would make.
