i got the Beltronics BEL RX65 Radar Detector, its pretty nice. But now cops now days like to turn on there radars when they see you about to pass by which is wack! But the beltronic saved a hella lot of times espeically with those lovely lasers =].

Radar guns have a 5 second warm up process so even if they turn it on right when you pass, you're detector will go to full alert just b/c of the signal and distance of the cop, but he won't have your speed for at least 5 seconds.

Complaining is futile when you supported the victory.

you must know spencerville then...my stupid school

Just have to watch the 2 troopers that sit on the right side (heading into laurel) running LIDAR as you come over the 95 overpass.

Nice review and everythign

I guess i'm late to the party , lol

Anyway i have Escort 9500i love it actually.

And the only thing is.. It doesnt matter if you mount it gigh or low for best laser detection because there is NO best way to detect laser when your gadget is on the windshield and precise laser is at the plate. Experieced officer is able to get the reading within 2 seconds, when your RD goes of on a laser alert its basically saying ( Dummy you just got a ticket ) lol..
Thats just my 02 cents..

Correct, but just for statistical purposes, LIDAR detection is caught much easier with a lower mounting point due to it's limited diameter at 1000 feet (only a 3 foot circle). Radar travels in pulsating waves and spreads out much further at 1000 feet.
