 So im on the site and i see this banner for the new mitsu lancer and i remembered the commercial for it with those padel shifters. And i went on the site to check it out. It seems cool but there has to b a disadvantage to them. Whats everyones thoughts about this and is this the first car with the padel shifters? i know its the first time i have herd of them.

The Lancer is not the first car with paddle shifters...

F-1 performance vehicles have paddle type shifting.. then it came to Ferrari, then Porsche, Mercedes, ect.. then Nissan... and blah blah blah...

It's a cool gimmick. Okay... imagine tiptronic... but placed on your steering wheel like a video game.

On a domestic vehicle, a paddle shifter is just a different way to fake shift your automatic.

I drove a 2007 Sentra SE-R with paddle shifters and it was so dumb...

 lol the new elicpse, i was surpised when i could actually look at a black eclipse and not laugh, cuz the color made it look smaller and not as ugly as the other colors for the new eclipse, the rear of the car looks like wide body kit, a friend of mine said those new eclipses looks like bugs lol.

 my mom's vette has paddle shifting, it takes some concentration the first few attempts at driving it. def takes some getting used to

It does look better in person... but 152 hp doesn't cut it. It's impressive hp for a 2 liter.

 I’m not a fan of paddle shifting. Even my bimmers steptronic system is crappy; I love really manual tranys .
