 my brother just got his car out of the autobody shop, they had to paint a quarter panel.. i know that you are not supposed to wax the car for 30-90 days after paint but what about washing it?

 Washing should be fine but I would hold of just to make sure that the clear coat is completely dry.

 i got my car painted and you could wash it but no wax til 6 months i work in the autobody shop

 Call the body shop. 99% of the time, you can't wash the paint for 30 days minimum. Not sure about waxing.........My buddy got his hatch painted and that's what they told him.


Complaining is futile when you supported the victory.

That's the first time I've heard no wax for six months.. The ferrari dealership (friends work there) say 90 days.. Why 6 months?
