 Is it really a bad tranny? I mean how does it compare to a honda? Good thing I have a lifetime powertrain warranty, anyone else have that?

 It certainly isnt the best tranny out there but to compare it to a Hondas I wouldnt be so certain buy my opinion is prob they are same for quality and performance.

First, our tranny is an open differential which is a boo but the only other four bangers with closed and LSD are the SRT-4, EVO, and WRX STI.

I have some early issues with my tranny but it was just the break-in but have heard other have problems. Its all about how you take care of your tranny and how you drive it.

 ive got about 2500 miles on mine now and its starting to shift a little smoother as the clutch is gettin broken in.

I have 61,000 miles on my transmission right now. It's rock solid. No problems. Take care of your fluids.

 Other than the clutch squeak, I have no complaints about the tC's transmission

 Yeah the only prob. I have w/ the tranny is typical to Toyota's for some reason... havin' to move forward slightly to get it in reverse.
Other than that, np's.
