it should be fine up to 350whp :o. Why? Who wants to know? Someone that's rebuilding a tC for cheap and turbo'ing it with the extra cash? hmm?

It can, but it'll wear away faster than normal. You may look into durable materials like Kevlar/Carbon composite.

Stage II Kevlar or Carbon Steel/Kevlar discs are better for turbo applications. Higher grip strength and longer life due to the kevlar.

Clutchmasters has a stage II but not sure what the material is...........it's either carbon steel or carbon kevlar.

Try to stay away from ACT due to some quality issues from many that I've known to have them. Broken clutch disc, throw out bearing being lubricated minimally from the factory, early clutch slip due to excess wear.....

I'd stick with ClutchMasters and check their stage II out. But just make sure you're going to have enough power that makes the Stage II worth while. As was stated before, it's not worth getting an upgraded clutch that is overkill. You'll hate it in the end. Stage II should be MORE than enough for a Stage I turbo setup even with 300 whp if you get it up that high with tuning.

The FX200 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate and the Steel Back Kevlar disc. This cultch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer. The FX200 offers similar torque holding capacity to the FX100, however, with the Kevlar disc, its life expectancy is increased 2-3 times. It features only slightly increased pedal pressure, significantly longer life than stock and normal clutch feel during engagement and disengagement for the smoothest operation of any stage we offer.

FX200 (Stage II) · Extra long life street system · Holding capacity 70% over stock · Heavy-Duty reinforced pressure plate · Hi-Leverage™ pressure ring design · Sprung hub/cushioned disc · Steel backed Carbon Kevlar friction material

I have heard some good things about SPEC clutches on our rides. Very good prices for what you get 2.

hey dude i have the spec stage 1 on my car and it handles the beating from nitrous very well and my brother has the spec stage 3 on his srt4 and he is pushing about 450whp and it also handles fine, no slips or heating problems.
