It's not that hard once you start practicing it

If you have a size 12 or above (I'm a 12), on the stock tC pedal it will be pretty impossible to do. Well, at least for me it is. I can double/single clutch rev match fine but heel toe is just not possible for me. I've tried it barefoot and got it a few times but double/single clutch rev match seems more functional to me.

Ive downshifted since day one. I have almost 50k on the car and no problems yet. So ill see what happens. I think ive downshifted, and never rev matched every stop. Oh well, to late now. But i think if it were that bad i would have had a problem by now.

so when he is shifting down, he is also rev matching, correct? i still havent mastered that technique. i do the heel toe thing though. woohoo! edit: is it bad to just put the car in neutral and just come to a stop? or should you always downshift and rev match?

Save yourself a lot of gas just puttin it in neutral, and its def. not bad for the car.

you don't have to "heel/toe" per se, especially if you have big feet. If you get some bigger sport pedals (even the bolt ons will do fine) there is a lot more lip on the gas pedal, and you can brake with the ball of your foot while you roll the outside of your foot out and hit the gas to rev up and catch the gear at the appropriate rpm. I.E. rather than turn your foot inward to toe the brake, turn your foot out and toe the gas. Might make it a little easier for all ya'll. :-p

^^^yeah thats how i do it. i wear a size 13 so my foot is wide enough to do it in our cars..lol. thats how i do it in every car i drive.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

man i wear a size 13 shoe and i am an avid road course racer you have to learn to heel toe in order to do what i do. it's not hard it just takes practice, and a good seat belt so you don't hit you head on the wheel while learning.

when i usually do it i have a good pressure on the brake and when i get around 2 to 3 grand on the rpm i usually slide my heel over and blip the gas to around 4 or 5. you just have to listen to your car talk to you. be one with your car daniel son.

oh i forgot to add that when you blip the gas up to 4 0r 5 five grand you have to go into third cause if you go into fourth there is just this bogged down feeling. plus there really isn'that much difference between fourth and fifth. if you down shift from fifth down to four fast enough at a low enough rpm you really don't notice a difference
