Instead of a myspacey friends system, I think I'd like to create a car "bookmarking" system that would be private to a user for starters, but can be made public via some option so that people can check out rides someone else likes. The bookmarking system could be sorted by user name, make & model, and last updated, so that you can keep track of everyone without having to fish around for usernames. This makes me also want to setup commenting system based on RIDES as well as PROFILE, and make each user's ride somewhat separate from their profile page so there isn't a whole lot of clutter going on. At least with the profile page, I can dedicate that to contain user specific information rather than user and ride specific information. Pages dedicated to a single ride would allow for more space for me to throw in some additional features specific to rides. Hello guys I am new here and am looking for friends |

The favorite rides list is great. Sometimes its hard to find a persons post so you can click on their name to get to their profile, the list will make things easier. But as for the comment of rides and users, will that be on different pages? That would be a little annoying to have to toggle in between. The current system for commenting is nice because you can leave a comment about the persons car and/or a friendly "Hi" in the same message. ![]() "gonna wash my car before i take a nap.. can't rest well knowing i've got the entire cast of A Bug's Life on my bumper" - Vicious -- Want to post a "For Sale" thread? The only problem with comments now, is if you have 8 different cars in your garage and only one comment area, it's hard to determine which car a user is refering to when saying things like 'nice rims' or 'i like that color of your ride'. If comments were separated per ride, you can get the comments just for that ride; users would be expected to post non-car specific comments on your profile page. If you know of some way to organize the comments system, let me know. Hello guys I am new here and am looking for friends |

I like this idea........ For the comments though, how about when a user clicks on another picture on a person profile for another car, a drop box pops down and they fill their comment in there. Then, it automatically gets ported to the main comment list with a tag dedicating it to a specific car they may have. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

Here is an idea. Before a user is able to comment on a car. That car must first be selected. After a comment is made on that particular ride. The comment is then marked "User _____'s comment on 99 Acura RL" Then comments can be viewed according to vehicle or all at once, but any viewer can see which comment goes with which vehicle. |

Yeah, either way, just some sort of a tag linking the car name that they commented on with the comment would be best i would think. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |
