I have currently installed a Megan header and did the non-fouler trick with my 2nd o2 sensor yet my check engine light comes back on every time i reset it. Could my cat have really failed due to a stock exhaust or has my o2 sensor failed maybe. Any ideas other than take it to the dealer? My mechanic says not to worry so I'm not, just looking for an easy answer.

Did you us the anti-fouler? If you did then something is wrong with your o2 sensor. I don’t have any cats and I don’t have a CEL on. I did how mess-up my o2 sensor and replaced it with a Blitz one worked for me hope this helps.

is it 1 antifouler or two. you screw the one thats drilled to the 02 sensor and the other fouler that came in the package then you screw the whole set to the s pipe. then you take off the negative battery for 1 minute or so. i know megan has a problem iuno why but people with megan headers keep popping up with a CEL.

I don’t know what to tell you it could be that I have leaned out the fuel mix so much that it allows the anti- f to work and not trigger a CEL.

Follow this link and the link in it.......pictures near the bottom of the SL thread have instructions on exactly how to do the antifouler trick.

i found out what the problem was but thanks for all your help. my o2 sensor on the header was cross-threaded from the factory and we broke it trying to take it out of the stock pipes. didnt know it was broken until i took it to the dealer. i was very surprised when they replaced it for free. thanks a ton tho.
