  • greddytc05 @ May 30, 2008 5:43AM

hey dude whats up. i actually just saw the post you put in the 1/4 mile thread. not bad, basically all i do is feather the clutch out as much as i can without riding it or letting it out so that it spins instantly. once the car is moving and i hit full throttle it still spins whats left of 1st and all of second but by feathering it some it allows the car to atleast get off the line before it starts to spin. and i'm not sure if you know this yet but that run was done with my stock clutch and with the 18's and street tires on the car. plus i didn't take my sterio or anything out of the car. you just have to learn that happy medium with feathering it. if i had drag radials i know i could have gotten a better 60' and 1/4 time. just remember that when you drop your 60' your trap speed is going to drop also. before i got mine that low i was pulling high 2.2 60' times trapping from 103-106mph. but they were at like 13.8-14.0. its just something you have to play with and practice at.
