Biography
I grew up in a poor lower-income white/black suburban neighborhood in Louisiana (my parents until I was 17 pulled in less than $25k-$40k a year between them--now they are doing MUCH better). The town I lived in had nearly 3,000 people in it. Small by most standards. I was schooled there (Louisiana was in the 45-50th running for worst education in the U.S. in the early 80s and still hasn't moved up). I was able to raise myself up because I was always reading the text books and anything else I could get my hands on. Found school intensely boring because it wasn't stimulating my tiny neurons enough to make me care. Because of that, I was a lackluster student. I settled into a swaying from D's to B's for the rest of my school life. At 15 I was moved to Clear Lake, Texas. Culture shock. I had never been in a place with so many white people. Since then I had moved back to Louisiana, went to a Tech. college because the University life isn't for me. I'm married now to a swamp girl thats half Russian half Cajun and can drink anyone I have ever met under the table, then drive them home. We met on a blind date when we were kids (11 years old) and "dated" for a few years after that. Seperated for 5-6 years. Been together ever since. I work in Saudi Arabia as a Senior Rig Electrician for a major drilling company. My rig drills for Natural Gas. Thats the story thus far.
