    hey its pretty easy, first just take off your shift knob then you just pull the lower half towards you then kinda wiggle it and pull towards you some more and pretty soon it will start to pop off. And for spray painting i used 2 coats of primer then 3-4 coats of color and 2 coats of clear coat. Also dont forget to sand down the paints before you spray them
